pre-task preparation
1.say a chant
2.t: can you see miss zhang?
p: yes, i can.
t: close your eyes. can you see miss zhang?
p: no, i can’t.
t: open your eyes. what do you see?
p: i see a book.
t: open my eyes. i see a ________. how about you?
3.make a rhyme:
t: open, open, open your ______.( eyes, mouth, bag, pencil-box, book )

while-task procedure
1.( lead in ) : is she a doctor?
(show a box): t: open, open, open the box. oh, a photo in the box. this is linda’s mother.
1) guess: what is linda’s mother? ( a cook )
p:is she a _______ ?
t: linda’s mother is a cook. she is a cook.
2) say a rhyme:
is she a doctor? is she a doctor?
no, no, no, she is a nurse.
is she a cook? is she a cook?
yes, yes, yes, she is a cook.
2. ( lead in ): she is young.
1) t: the cook is in white. who is in white, too?
p: ( the nurse, the milkman, the doctor ) is in white.
t: yes. the doctor is in white, too.
( show a picture of a doctor ). t: look at this doctor. how is she?
p: she is young.
2) say a rhyme:
young, young, young, my mother is young. she is young.
( sister, aunt , brother, uncle )
3) t: have you ever seen a doctor? how is the doctor?
p: yes. he / she is young. ( old, short, tall, beautiful, ugly, handsome, etc. )
3. ( lead in ) : you are fine.
t: the doctor is young. she is young. how is miss zhang?
p: you are ______.
t: i have got a cold. i feel sore throat. i am not fine. how are you today?
p: i am fine.
t: you are fine.
1) read the sentence.
2) role play: a doctor: open your mouth. say ‘ah’. you are fine.
4. t: i have got a cold. i go and see a doctor. what might you go and see the doctor for?
1) have a headache

post-task activities:
1. listen to the tape and read after it.
